Project: "A Happening Place": The galleries at the Gershman Y played an important role in introducing Philadelphia to contemporary art from the late 1950's to early 1970's. This project will enlighten the public about this history and display representative work shown in the galleries during that period. A catalogue documenting the show will be produced along with a limited edition reprint of The Dictionary, produced originally in 1963 for the show "New Vocabulary/Art 1963."
