| Project: "What Is Design Today?," an exhibition that introduces design
to a wide audience using significant contemporary objects and hands-on
experience. The show investigates the intersection of material culture
and the post-Industrial and Digital Ages through six thematic and
self-contained displays. The exhibition will be designed by Boym Design
Studio, and draws its conceptual framework from co-curator George
Marcus's companion volume, to be published by Abrams in 2002. A companion
lecture series and broad outreach effort will also be undertaken.
Project Dates: October-December, 2002
